WORLDCONNECT TIP:
LIVING FILTERS
Want to share your GEDCOM with others by posting it to
WorldConnect, but your genealogy software doesn't provide a way
to exclude the living from the database?
Relax. You do not need to filter, exclude or remove information
about the living before uploading your GEDCOM to WorldConnect
because it has "living" filters built into it that will do this.
In fact, allowing WorldConnect to "clean" or "remove the living"
is preferable because this way your original GEDCOM is still on
file with WorldConnect with ALL your information intact should
you ever need to download it as a backup in the event your data
on your computer should ever be lost, corrupted, or destroyed.
Here's how it works. Two GEDCOMs are maintained for you in your
account on WorldConnect server -- your original (which is not
displayed but is stored as a backup for you), and another
"filtered" version, which is displayed. The latter is based on
the selections you make on either the standard or advanced setup
page.
